In short

Femto does not collect, store or share any personal data. Everything it does happens on your Mac.

What Femto reads

To show what takes up space, Femto reads the names, sizes and modification dates of files and folders on the disks and folders you give it access to. It does not read the contents of your files. The results stay in memory on your Mac and are gone when you quit.

What Femto stores

Femto keeps its settings on your Mac: which disks and folders you granted access to, the view you prefer, and cleanup suggestions you turned off. Nothing else is saved.

What Femto sends

Nothing. Femto has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking, and does not send any information about you or your files anywhere. Updates of the Mac App Store version come from the App Store.

Deleting files

Femto only removes what you select, and moves it to the Trash, except items that are already in the Trash, which it deletes permanently when you confirm.
